Gender equality affects everybody, everywhere.

In 2016 our planet Earth does not yet have a country which can claim to offer absolute gender equality. Although, some countries are more equal than others.

The Global Gender Gap report, first published in 2006, measures gender equality across 144 countries.


The United Nations Development Program also provides an annual gender inequality index ranking. Shedding light on the position of women in 155 countries. The top 10 countries are highlighted below.

There is not enough space in Iceland for 7 billion people...
